Tis the Season
I've been enjoying a very long week off from work.
We have been a crafty little family lately. I've spent the last two weeks sewing clothes for dolls. I love it. I spent days and days sewing, learning how to read patterns and piece everything together. I even made little leather shoes and fleece slippers. They were a big hit with the girls.
Jess has been a crafting maniac too. Working into the wee hours of the night on collages for microscope slide pendants. I promise to share when he finishes them. They are brilliant.
He went crazy making ornaments for the tree. I started out with this idea from Martha Stewart using old greeting cards. Jess then out-crafted me and decided to recycle art history books. I love these ornaments so much I wish I could show you everyone of them.
I think he made 40 of them. Each one is a beautiful little homage to art historical works, paired up in surprising ways.

It sounds like you're having a great time--yay! Those are wonderful ornaments, I'll have to remember them for later. I especially like the idea of using pics from old books!
