back to normal
Okay, so first I ran off to LA for the national SCBWI conference. My brain melted from the experience. I think I'm still in awe of all the talent, all the stories, everything I learned. Many blog posts to follow about the event.
So I returned from my trip and the following day my best friend from Michigan came for a nice relaxing visit for the week. Glorious fun.
The day after she left, major technical difficulties and I was offline for a week. That almost killed me.
So I'm back. Ready for the not so glamorous digging into the daily grind. Beads to make. Bead Cruise spaces to fill. Our local conference details to work out. And above all, dummy books to finish, ideas to sketch out, putting all that great illustration info. into daily practice.
You see, if I don't make time for my illustration daily, life will just whisk away my dream. Like a little leaf on an ocean wave, carried into a great deluge of responsibilities. You just have to make time for what's important. Time - you can make it, but you'll never find spare bits of it laying about.
