Well spoken my friend--my boy gets three or four stories a night and always wants more--he says "another book!" but I have a feeling it's just to stay up longer!

Thanks for your sharing these thoughts on childrens' books, Heather. I think in two extremes: I love childrens' books and it's a job. Your post has me realizing there's a wealth of thought and philosophy within those concepts and I haven't taken the time to consider it.

I'll try and check out some of those books. Keep posting what you're learning, please.

Some of the lessons I learned from picture books as a child will still pop into my head even now. Stories are such a lovely way to learn.
