David Davis has three picture books coming out in September. One is called The Librarian's Night Before Christmas. According to David, he grew up in San Antonio, and librarians saved his life. He spent so much time in libraries there. The downtown library, the school library, and even the bookmobile. He didn't have the money to buy all the books he wanted, so the library was a gift.

“With the powers that be cutting the funding, I wanted to write a funny warm satire that speaks to these issues and adds a love letter to librarians,” said David. “I hope you will take a look at it when it comes out in September and remember what we all owe to those librarians that fed our reading hunger when we were kids.”
